ASSESSORS MEETING MINUTES

JANUARY 25, 2008

12:15 P.M.  Called meeting to order.  Present:  Paula B. Keefe, Richard Gorden and Mark

                    Mazur

1. The Board approved the minutes to our last meeting on the 18^th of January.

2. The Board denied an FY2008 application for Community Preservation Act

exemption for the owner of parcel 101-177.

3. The Board was told that the Board of Selectmen had reviewed our proposed

FY2009 budget and would propose a budget of $252,509 for the year.

This will represent an approximately 3% increase over the previous year

and will include adequate funding for the fiscal year 2010 revaluation.

4. The Board read a letter from a taxpayer concerning the increase in her taxes.

It had been sent to the Board of Selectmen and so the Board of Assessors

signed a letter to the Selectmen in response.  They also directed the

Administrative Assessor to call the taxpayer and discuss the matter with her.

5. The Board took the following actions on fiscal year 2008 applications for

abatement for the owners of the following properties:

            Parcel #61-4                Granted

            Parcel #97-1                Granted

            Parcel #75-108            Granted

            Parcel #75-110            Granted

            Parcel #86-11-1           Granted

            Parcel #8-73                Denied

            Parcel #65-52              Denied

            Parcel #64-85              Denied

6. The Board decided to hold their next meeting on Thursday evening the 31^st of

January.
